Found a hidden gem in NYC ✨
60th-floor fine dining with skyline views… and lunch is only $78.
Booked in advance and mentioned it was my dad’s birthday 🎂
They gave us a window table — best seat in the house.
Sitting there, enjoying a 3-course lunch while overlooking Manhattan 🏙️
honestly feels way better than squeezing into a crowded observation deck.
And let’s be real —
NYC observation tickets aren’t cheap 🎫
but here, you get the view + a full fine dining experience for almost the same price.
Such a win.
We were a group of four, so… we basically ordered the whole lunch menu 😂
and surprisingly, almost everything was good. No misses.
.
A few years ago, I went to the Top of the Rock —
way too crowded, not the best experience.
A friend just visited the Empire State Building,
and the wind almost blew her away 💨
So this time, traveling with my parents and kids,
I had a random idea:
skip the observation decks, find a high-rise restaurant instead 🍴
Best decision ever.
.
Also kinda funny —
looking around the restaurant, it was full of people in suits from Wall Street
quietly having lunch…
and then there was us, clearly tourists 😂
but somehow, that made the whole experience even more special.

We had an overall outstanding evening at Manhatta – truly a 5 out of 5 experience from start to finish.
The service was attentive, professional, and very friendly without being intrusive. The food was also of an exceptionally high standard: excellent in taste, beautifully presented, and overall truly impressive. The view over New York is spectacular and makes the entire experience even more special. The location is also excellent and perfectly rounds off the visit.
One small point that unfortunately slightly affected the otherwise perfect impression was the situation at the end when paying. The restaurant was marked as “non-tipping,” but at the same time we were encouraged to leave a tip, which felt somewhat unclear for us as guests. As a result, we did not feel entirely comfortable during the payment process. We would appreciate clearer and more consistent communication in this regard to avoid any misunderstandings.
Apart from that, it was an exceptional evening in every way – culinary, atmospheric, and experiential – absolutely 10/10 and highly recommended.

Manhatta has officially become one of my favorite restaurants of all time.
The experience starts with the stunning views from the 60th floor overlooking New York City, but the food and service are what truly make this place special. Every member of the staff was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever being overbearing.
We ordered the four-course menu and every course was outstanding. For the first course, we had the Jonah Crab with asparagus, apple, and sorrel, along with the Bluefin Tuna with jicama, shiso, and white soy vinaigrette. The crab was honestly the best crab dish I’ve ever eaten—sweet, delicate, and perfectly balanced. The tuna was equally impressive, incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared.
For the second course, we chose the Seared Scallop with nduja, watermelon radish, and pea shoots, as well as the Glazed Sweetbreads with morel mushrooms, arugula pesto, and horseradish. Both dishes were expertly executed and packed with flavor.
For our mains, we had the Butter Poached Lobster and the Lamb Loin & Rib. The lobster was excellent, but the real surprise was the Koshihikari rice—it was absolutely amazing and one of the most memorable components of the entire meal. The lamb was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the fava bean pesto, almond, and pecorino.
Dessert was the Pistachio Cake with strawberry and crème fraîche chamomile ice cream, which was a fantastic ending to the meal.
We also enjoyed several mezcal cocktails and wine pairings throughout dinner, all of which complemented the food beautifully.
Between the breathtaking views, exceptional service, creative menu, and unforgettable dishes, Manhatta delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to come back.

We visited Manhatta on a Saturday for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is located on the 60th floor of 28 Liberty Street and offers breathtaking views of Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island, and New York Harbor.
Before our table was ready, we waited in the lounge area and enjoyed the incredible views. A thoughtful touch was the personalized birthday note waiting on our table when we arrived, which made the occasion feel extra special.
The atmosphere was elegant but welcoming, and it was interesting to see that many other guests were also celebrating birthdays and special occasions there.
We came for lunch and ordered the two-course lunch menu. To start, we had the “Beef Tartare” and “Fluke Crudo”, followed by the “Grilled Sea Bass”, “Dry-Aged Burger”, and “Lobster Ravioli” for our mains. For dessert, we enjoyed the “Coconut Mousse” and paired the meal with red wine and the “Land of the Sun” cocktail. The restaurant has an excellent selection of red, white, and sparkling wines.
The service was friendly and attentive without ever making us feel rushed.. We took our time, enjoyed the food, the drinks, and the stunning views, making it a memorable birthday celebration.

This has got to be one of the best fine dining, modern restaurants in NYC. I may not be able to say that b/c this was my first time in the city, turning 30 and I read through every review to other places and this was the best. They were #1, WELCOMING! wherever you come from, they make you feel seen, and heard and make you feel like you belong. Like a, “hey , you could be wearing jeans and a T-shirt and we will treat you like a celebrity.” My 30th birthday was all the more special due to this place. I couldn’t have chosen a better place. My husband, my high-school friend and his wife joined me for my special day. I didn’t ask for anything better and the wait staff kept delivering treats and a beautiful little sweet treat with a candle and I felt even more special. Every single dish was a burst of flavor and amazing artistry. You know that saying “so good I could slap my grandma!?” Well, I wanted to line the staff up and give them all high fives and wonderful songs of praises. The views of Manhattan and the other boroughs and the water was an array of magnificence. Reserve your table, make the reservation, eat the food, spend the money, tip the wait staff. 10/10 will recommend to anyone who will listen! Have a beautiful close to your day and thank you for having us!

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here at Manhatta. The entire staff was very welcoming and all congratulated us upon arrival. The restaurants is beautiful and situated on the 60th floor. We chose to dine at 7pm so we could see the city before and after sunset.
Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the different wines, I would have thought he was the sommelier. We chose the four course meal paired with wine, and each pairing was excellent. The food was incredible. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone celebrating a milestone.

I’ve been to Manhatta a few times, both for private dining and hosted events, and it’s always a great experience. The panoramic views over Lower Manhattan are hard to beat, especially around sunset or at night.
Food is solid—everything I’ve had has been well-executed (though not particularly memorable)—but it’s really the setting that makes this place stand out. You’re paying as much for the view and ambiance as you are for the meal.
Service has also been consistently excellent. On one visit, there was a small mix-up with our reservation, but the staff handled it professionally and went out of their way to make things right. Their attentiveness and hospitality really elevated the experience.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable view paired with good food and attentive service, Manhatta is definitely worth a visit.

I had a reservation for a birthday dinner for my girlfriend. We both loved it. This is by far one of the greatest dinning experiences we have ever had! The staff were friendly and very accommodating, the food was excellent and the views were stunning. Some places have good views but lack taste. This was definitely not the case. Our taste buds were all over the place. Lastly, shout out to Simone who made sure everything was perfect. Worth every dollar. Highly recommend.

Truly, a 10/10 experience from start to finish. My partner and I came to celebrate an anniversary and we were constantly congratulated from entry up until exit! The whole team at Manhatta made us feel so welcomed and the service was impeccable. They even seated us by the window with a cute card!
Usually restaurants with a spectacular view often don’t have the best food (from my own experience), but Manhatta changed it completely. The food was SO good and the drinks were amazing. You could taste the love and care that was put into each dish. The ingredients were so fresh and nothing was a miss.
The team had a little treat for us at the end which we appreciated so much.
I didn’t get any names unfortunately but the whole team were on their A-game. We can’t wait to be back in the next few months :)
